Tell them to flee (either through the hole in the ship, or through the front door if it's been cleared - it doesn't matter).After being attacked by The Floating Hangman, they (herself, Kesango, and Daimo) were taken captive by the crew of undead and were brought back to the reef. The female captives mentions that they were sailing under Lofell and his ship, the Antelope. Doing this, or talking to Copperhead in the boatshed allows you to tell them what is going on. You can examine the iron collar on them using Arcana 15 to determine that the collars possess a similar incantation to the marks on the foreheads of the undead. Talk to the two captives in the back room.Alternatively, if you complete the quest A Paradise of the Mind by making a deal with Menzzago, Zulka and her crew will no longer be present, allowing you to approach the captives freely. In order to get to the captives, you'll need to kill Zulka and her crew (along with the rest of the inn's inhabitants, who are commanded to attack as soon as you're spotted by Zulka).After the conversation, Zulka and her crew enter the inn with a pair of captives, who are promptly carted to the back room. Head to The Pickled Eel and talk to Copperhead to find out more. The residents are under the effects of a spell which makes them believe that they're regular kith. The area is a wasteland of shipwrecks inhabited by undead. After talking to Lofell, leave Neketaka and head for Splintered Reef at the southeastern corner of the map.This is done by completing the first part of the quest A Paradise of the Mind, a summary of which is below. In order to complete the quest, you need to find Lofell's missing crew members.He only appears after He Waits in Fire, but not if you have already started A Paradise of the Mind on Splintered Reef (see notes below). Speak to Captain Teryc Lofell in the central fountain area of Serpent's Crown to start the quest.We suggest smashing it however.A peculiar captain by the name of Lofell claims to have come across a dire threat far to the south-east of Neketaka A threat that stole away the crew of his ship, the Antelope. Once he is dead, you can smash the orb, or leave it. Things that improve your spell resistance are a huge help here, so make sure to use those skills and spells when possible. Dump your strongest spells and abilities on the Fampyr to chew through them quickly, then focus on Menzzago. Menzzago is extremely powerful and his two Fampyr are no slouches either. This fight is not easy, even for a level 20 party. They only appear if you agro Menzzago from the left. If you sneak to the other side of the area and speak to Menzzago so that your on the right side, and stay on the right side, the Algul won't appear. There is a nice trick for this fight to make it easier. There will be Menzzago, 2 Fampyr and several Algul. You can talk to him and try to tell him an undead army would be useful, however it's most likely going to turn into a fight. Now that you've reached the summit, you need to deal with Menzzago. Go down there to fight yet more enemies, which leads to the Runemaster who, when killed, drops the second Vial of Fampyr blood, allowing you to open the main door. Use this on one of the pedestals by the door and it will open a wall to the South. Once you get inside the small temple, you will need to kill the Quartermaster to get a Vial of Fampyr blood. Each Fampyr is like a mini-boss, as they have ample amounts of health and, worst of all, can charm party members. Each fight will involve several weaker undead, then 1 or 2 Fampyr. The entire Splintered Reef area is recommended for players around level 15. There is little in the way of puzzle solving in this area, it's just repeated fights.Д«e warned, these fights are not easy. There are two spots in the North that will involve combat. Your next goal will be to begin exploring the areas of the map of Splintered Reef. He will tell you what's happening on the island and explain that a Crypt seems to be the source, and asks you to investigate it.
